September 2008

My oh my, does time fly by. Already summer is over and the kids are filing back to school. The wedding crush is abating a bit and seasonal changes are presenting new and fantastic opportunities.

August was an endless rush from one amazing event to another. Work took me to Atlanta, Philadelphia and all over the Charlotte area. Atlanta afforded me the prospect of working with Biesse America in documenting IWF 2008 and their fundraiser event for the Children’s Miracle Network. The Congress Center was the perfect setting for achieving desired results.

This month I am off to New York to shoot the wedding of two amazing artists. It is an honor for one artist to be chosen by another. I cannot wait to provide them with a product they will enjoy for the rest of their lives.

With the shift from stifling summer heat to comfortably enjoyable days, shooting outdoors has become more inviting. Temperatures are dropping and soon we will be blanketed in fall’s amazing colors. I can’t wait to exploit each color, shade and texture painted on nature’s canvas.

Adding to the element of texture, I can’t wait to continue shooting the kids who I have taken into my heart. Watching them grow and develop is complemented by the chance to really photograph them in moments of pure elation. Smashing bananas, finger-painting in mud and jumping in piles of leaves are my favorite moments. It is not every day when little ones experience unfettered glee in making a mess.

With the upcoming climate changes and travel plans to beautiful and complex New York, I anticipate the prospect of truly exploit the love of my art.
