At the end of each year we all look back on what has transpired. From the great to the not-so-great, each event has its own importance. The most precious event this year was the birth of my little son, Pierce. He really made 2008 memorable for his brothers, Randy and I.
Thank you all for your kind thoughts, cards and gifts. Your actions have fortified my enjoyment of my job and appreciativeness for friends and clients. Without you I would not be successful in my position and enjoy a wealth of friendship.
For me, each shoot, event and client has really made my year a wonderful one. 2008 was wrapped up neatly with an opportunity to photograph the happy nuptials of Mr. and Mrs. Kirby at the Dairy Barn in Fort Mill, SC. The fantastic backdrop was perfect for creating a catalogue of memories.
Mr. & Mrs. Kirby…
Carolina Panthers sponsored the charity event for Hope Haven. According to their literature, “For more than 30 years, Hope Haven has responded to critical community issues, homelessness and substance abuse. Hope Haven is dedicated to rebuilding lives through provision of support services yielding healthy recovery and economic independence.”
Carolina Panther’s players and wives combined efforts with Toys & Co. in sponsoring this successful event. I had the honor of photographing all activities and individuals supporting the cause. Overall, the event touched more faces than you will know… priceless too see and caputure. Just some random pics below…
Even Sir Purr was there…
2009 is being launched quickly enough. After a brief recess for personal time, I am revving up for another round. Zipping off to Washington DC allows me to take advantage of crisp winter weather and, with any luck, snow. Shooting maternity and family sessions are always a favorite. Hopefully, I will be able to photograph someone catching snowflakes on their tongue.
As always, my schedule is quickly becoming limited. I’m already scheduling appointments to 2010. Make sure to contact me well in advance of any event you are anticipating. I’m always guilt-ridden when I have to say, “No”.
Happy Birthday Maryn…
